Like The Wheel of Fortune in my beloved Tarot, life is constantly changing for us all.
Sybil's Leaf has an apprentice! Afghanistan Veteran, Corey Gilbert is now a certified and licensed tattoo apprentice! He's nailing every tattoo like an old pro.
I swore I'd never apprentice anyone again. Any tattooer who's worth their salt has taken a chance on apprenticing someone. After attempting to apprentice three different people, at three different stages of my career, I decided that if I were to ever take anyone on again, they'd have to be pretty special.
Like most of us, I've watched our world degrade into an endless war on so-called terror and have seen our friends and families torn apart by our beloved soldiers going to war losing life and limb for the central banking elite. If you're lucky, you come home physically intact. From my own experiences I know how mentally healing tattooing can be as a tattooer and receiver. It's not just the tattooing that's healing, it's the one on one with another person who's sitting there, trusting you on purpose . Having someone in your care is an emppowering and healing hum an experience. This exchange of humanity and art is, in my opinion, one of the ways to God, to Spirit, to Healing.
Corey came along when I first opened here on the trail. We have a lot in common and he's literally one of the few people on Earth that I trust with my life and enjoy hanging out with. He's a hill town native, loving father, husband and of course....biker. He's in the shop Tuesday, Friday and sometimes Saturdays.
He's laying down solid work in a professional amount of time. If you're interested in getting some ink from him, it's his call so come into the shop when he's here and have a chat.
